Office Hour

Virtual Civic Tech Office Hour

I host a weekly 30-minute Zoom office hour (except when I’m traveling) to answer questions about civic tech. Below are some examples of topics I’m happy to discuss:

  • How to get involved in civic tech as a quant/mixed-method researcher (if you’re graduate students, postdocs, and other early-stage researchers)

  • How to build collaborations (whether you’re an academic looking to work with civic tech practitioners or a practitioner looking to work with academics)

  • How to build civic tech capacity (if you’re a government agency or nonprofit)

  • How to develop a civic tech agenda or portfolio (if you’re a think tank or foundation)

I’m also happy to chat about related topics, including the administrative state, state capacity, policy implementation, public procurement, human-centered design, service design, applied policy data science, artificial intelligence in the public sector, and more.

The office hour is open to all. You can sign up for a slot using this link.

  • For everyone’s benefit, please sign up for only one slot unless multiple meetings are clearly necessary.
  • Please email me in advance with a brief explanation of why you’d like to connect. If I don’t receive an email beforehand, I may cancel the meeting.
